In this article, we’re going to show you how to use castor oil for inflammation;

What is Inflammation?

Inflammation occurs when the white blood cells are activated to protect the human body from infections and diseases – it is basically the body’s self-defence mechanism as a biological response is triggered each time the body senses an infection or a disease.

The effect of inflammation is more or less what individuals try to explain, and we’ll be getting to how you can do that with castor oil shortly.

Inflammation doesn’t necessarily mean infection; it’s merely a response to an infection, but sometimes it causes discomfort after a period of time thus let’s take a look at the two types of inflammation, namely acute inflammation and chronic inflammation.

Acute Inflammation

Acute inflammation occurs rapidly and gets even worse over a short period of time, but the effects of it may last for just a few days to a couple of weeks, it’s relatively short compared to chronic inflammation.

Acute Inflammation could be the result of an underlying disease some of which include;

  • Sore throat
  • Cut on the surface of the skin
  • Acute dermatitis
  • Acute tonsillitis
  • A blow
  • Acute sinusitis

Chronic Inflammation

Chronic inflammation has a long-term effect on individuals as it could last for a number of months to years.

Causes of Chronic Inflammation

  • The failure of the white blood cells to locate the underlying cause of the acute inflammation.
  • When the immune system attacks healthy tissues which they mistake for harmful pathogens
  • The persistence of a chronic irritant of little harm

How Castor Oil Cures Inflammation

Castor Oil has antiviral, antifungal and antibacterial properties, which helps to reduce inflammation by targeting the underlying cause of it.

It’s also capable of stimulating your immune system in a bid to speed up the body’s healing process and to get it to fight off diseases – Castor Oil supports the body’s lymphatic system, which is one of the major reason’s it’s able to heal inflammation.
