How I use Castor oil to treat headaches and Migraines….
We all hate migraines and headaches. As soon as the pain comes on, we wish to just go away. In order to treat headaches and such, people just often pop the normal medicine such as Motrin or Excedrin. However, medication has harmful side effects and can eventually wear down your kidneys. This is especially the case if you are a suffer from migraines often and have to use medication in order to treat your condition. However, you can now completely refrain from using medication for your migraines and headaches. There are plenty of natural remedies that can alleviate your symptoms. Castor oil is one such effective remedy for migraines or headaches.
Castor oil works for alleviating migraines and headaches because it’s a natural pain reliever. Here’s my story as to how I discovered castor oil was such a natural pain reliever: A few months ago, I was writing an article on how castor oil alleviated joint pain. During that week, I had incidentally learned about how Tylenol, Motrin and such pills were bad for our kidneys. That same day I caught a minor headache and a thought occurred to me that if castor oil was able to treat joint pain then it should be able to alleviate my head pains. So without a second thought, I grabbed my castor oil from my room and applied it to my forehead and within a few short minutes my pain stared to subside. It caught me by surprise because I never read about castor oil treating headaches and I have been researching the various health benefits of castor oil for months. So, every time that I get a headache or migraine I now use castor oil to treat it.
Here is my routine for using castor oil for my headaches:
-
Pour a teaspoon of castor oil onto your hand
-
Rube the castor oil onto your forehead for about forty seconds to a minute
-
Usually you can feel alleviation of pain within 2 to 3 minutes.
Instead of using over the counter medication for my occasional headache or migraine I now use castor oil. Now we have a perfectly natural oil substance that we can use to treat our headaches. However, there are some obvious downsides to using castor oil for migraines:
-
It leaves your forehead shiny. If you’re out in public this can be somewhat unnatural looking.
-
If you’re out in public and a sudden migraine occurs, you’ll have to find time and a place to apply the castor oil.
-
If you’re pregnant you should refrain from using castor oil.
But there are plenty of benefits to using castor oil for migraines…
-
It’s a natural remedy which means you do not have to worry about the unnatural substances and side effects of traditional medication for migraines and headaches.
-
It’s cheaper to purchase than traditional medicine.
