However, did you know that castor oil can also be used to treat toothaches? Well, Yes it can! Below I will explain in detail how I came to use castor to treat my toothache.
A couple of years ago I had a really deep cavity. After I went to the dentist to have my cavity filled, I started to experience pain on that back molder soon after. At random times, a sharp pain would shock me on the right side of my mouth. Whenever, I attempted to chew on the right side of my mouth it would hurt.
Any sort of contact with metal would trigger hurt. I could not eat ice cream, drink cold water, or eat anything cold or hot because that molder would hurt. I began to chew on my left side only. But it felt unnatural and exhausting to chew on one side of my mouth. Plus I was concerned that my right side of my mouth was deteriorate because it wasn’t getting the proper amount of exercise through chewing.
I figured the lack of inactivity through chewing must have some sort of negative connotation because your teeth purpose is to chew. So, there were times that I would take pain killers so that I can exercise both sides of my mouth when eating.
This went on for a period for about 4 years. During that time, I had went back to the dentist for correctional procedures. The dentist could not find any problems. They tried to shorten the tooth several times. It was suggested that I should have the tooth pulled because I had possible nerve damage. I did not want to do that.
Shortly afterwards, I got into the whole natural remedy community and I discovered oil pulling as a method of teeth cleansing. Oil pulling is the concept that you can swish oils in your mouth to treat cavities and keep bacteria and other infections from your mouth away.
Being castor oil is one of my favorite oils I decided to incorporate castor oil onto my tooth care regimen. I put castor oil on top of my toothpaste when brushing my teeth. Almost immediately I felt pain relief. I continue to incorporate castor oil in my teeth regiment. Although I just apply castor oil on top of my toothpaste, there are different ways that you can apply castor oil to your teeth.
Method 1:
- You can apply castor oil to the cheek on the area of the tooth
- You can apply a heating pad or hot towel to this area. You can choose to cover it with stain wrap to protect from the heat.
- Let the heat Rest on the area for 20 minutes.
Method 2:
Swoosh 1 tablespoon of castor oil around your mouth for 20 minutes.
Method 3:
Apply a bit of castor oil on a cotton ball and apply it to the tooth that hurts.- See more at: http://www.castoroiluses.net/castor-oil-for-toothache/#sthash.mZGClHdQ.dpuf
